The Hudson Valley Latino Scholarship Fund (HVLSF) was founded in 1999 by Eddie Ramirez Sr, CEO, and Norma Ramirez, VP, of R&M Promotions of Poughkeepsie, NY.

“The goal of this program is to recognize and assist exceptional Latino students in the Hudson Valley with a monetary contribution for college.   This is the Latino community’s way of supporting and encouraging our youth to further their education and to continue to strive for bigger and better things,” says Eddie Ramirez Sr.

“One award recipient a few years previous had thanked me for the scholarship and said, “One day I’m going to pay you back,”  says Norma Ramirez, “I told the student not to pay me back, but to pay me by moving forward and help the next generation of Latinos strive to be the best they can be.”

Since 1999, the Ramirez family of R&M Promotions has awarded 128 exceptional Latino high school students with scholarships to assist with the high cost of college expenses.

The Ramirez family urges communities in the Hudson Valley to show their support for our young Latino men and women by donating to the Hudson Valley Latino Scholarship Fund.  A donation of any amount can be made at any time using the new online payment option above.

R&M Promotions begins accepting applications for the HVLSF in February of each year.  Applications can be downloaded by clicking the PDF file at the bottom of this page.  Please read applications carefully as students must meet certain criteria to be considered.  Please visit the website frequently for updated information.
